Matted and framed. Of the series that Cheret created for the Palais de Glace (regarded as some of his finest works) Le Courier Francaise chose three to use as supplements. The other two show a girl literally floating on ice. Here the shadowy figure of a man in the background adds movement and sophistication to the scene. Broido 371.
